Chairing the working session, Ms. Doan Thu Ha, Vice President of the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee, shared that in recent years, the Customs Department of Lang Son province, together with other provincial departments and agencies, has implemented multiple solutions to support the business community—particularly in helping enterprises overcome challenges in the post–COVID-19 recovery period. Among these, transit goods management remains a key area of focus for the Customs Department. Provincial authorities and customs officials have continuously listened to and addressed feedback from enterprises, working closely with them to remove obstacles and create favorable conditions for import, export, and transit activities across the province.
VIMID has been recognized as one of the province’s exemplary enterprises, receiving multiple Certificates of Merit from the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee for its outstanding achievements in import–export operations and substantial contributions to the provincial budget. VIMID is also one of four enterprises selected by the Lang Son Customs Department to participate in the Pilot Program for Voluntary Compliance with Customs Laws, under Decision No. 1399/QĐ-TCHQ dated July 15, 2022, issued by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Vu Tru, CEO of VIMID, presented an overview of the company’s import–export business performance and raised several challenges the company currently faced. He also made recommendations and sought further guidance from the Customs Department to help streamline customs procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
On behalf of VIMID, Mr. Tru expressed sincere appreciation for the attention and support that provincial leaders and the Customs Department have provided over the years. He also expressed hope for continued cooperation and assistance through favorable policies that encourage enterprise development in the region.
The working delegation from the Lang Son Customs Department listened attentively and promptly addressed VIMID’s feedback, taking note of issues related to import–export management policies and committing to escalate unresolved matters to higher authorities for timely resolution. Representatives from the Customs Department also commended VIMID for its strong compliance with customs regulations and its positive contributions to the province’s import–export activities, which have helped improve the quality of public services in the ongoing process of reform and integration.
With the principle “Enterprises and Customs Authorities are Reliable Partners for Mutual Growth,” the Customs Departments of Lang Son Province reaffirmed its commitment to continuously accompany businesses, address their concerns, and ensure the smooth flow of goods.
