On 19 August 2026, VIMID, in cooperation with SINOTRUK, handed over two specialized firefighting vehicles, the TX310 and TX400, to Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior. At the event, VIMID’s technical team directly carried out inspections and maintenance of the specialized firefighting vehicles and provided operational training for officials from Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior.

The activity was part of a training program organized by the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department from 17 to 28 August 2026 in Hanoi. Through this program, VIMID demonstrated its role not only as a supplier of specialized vehicles, but also as a provider of operational training and technical support throughout the product lifecycle.

VIMID Proudly Contributes to International Cooperation and the Enduring Friendship Between Vietnam and Cuba

On 19 August 2026, as part of the training program for officials from Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior organized by the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department, VIMID, in cooperation with SINOTRUK, handed over the TX310 and TX400 specialized firefighting vehicles and conducted comprehensive inspections and maintenance before their shipment to Cuba.

The event was attended by officials from the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department, members of the Cuban Ministry of the Interior delegation, representatives of SINOTRUK Vietnam, VIMID representatives and the Company’s technical team. Beyond strengthening the longstanding friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, the event also marked the first time SINOTRUK vehicles have been supplied to Cuba.

The inspection and maintenance work represented an important stage in preparing the vehicles for their journey to Cuba, where they will support fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and emergency response operations. VIMID’s technical team thoroughly assessed the vehicles’ operating condition, inspected key systems and carried out the necessary maintenance procedures to ensure that the vehicles were in sound technical condition before handover and shipment.

Following completion of the preparations, the vehicles will be transported by sea across the Pacific Ocean, through the Panama Canal and into the Caribbean region. Given the journey of more than 20,000 km, thorough inspection and maintenance are particularly important in helping ensure that the vehicles remain stable, safe and fully operational upon arrival and ready to perform their assigned duties.

Comprehensive Training Covering Both Theory and Hands-On Operation

During the practical training sessions, participants received detailed instruction on operating the switches and control systems in the cab; raising and lowering the cabin; checking and replacing engine oil, coolant and brake fluid; as well as inspecting, servicing and maintaining the braking system, clutch and chassis.

VIMID also provided theoretical training covering vehicle structure and components, technical specifications, vehicle safety systems and the underlying SINOTRUK vehicle chassis. The training was designed to equip participants with essential knowledge for the proper operation, care and maintenance of the vehicles.

The training content was developed around actual operating requirements, enabling officials from Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior to gain a thorough understanding of operating procedures, independently assess the vehicles’ technical condition and carry out maintenance correctly. This provides an important foundation for maintaining stable performance, durability and operational readiness throughout the vehicles’ service life.

Therefore, alongside conducting technical inspections and preparing the vehicles prior to handover, VIMID places strong emphasis on training the personnel who will operate them, ensuring that they understand the correct procedures for vehicle operation, inspection and maintenance. We are committed to continuing to provide technical support so that these vehicles can perform effectively in carrying out their missions in Cuba.”

The handover and operational training for the specialized firefighting vehicles bound for Cuba represent more than the transfer of technology and enhanced capabilities for fire prevention, firefighting and rescue operations. They also reflect the goodwill, solidarity and spirit of cooperation between Vietnam and its longstanding friend, Cuba.

Following the training program and vehicle handover, VIMID will continue to coordinate with the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department in providing technical support for the TX310 and TX400 vehicles as they are deployed for firefighting and rescue operations in Cuba.

Through this continued support, VIMID reaffirms its commitment to being a dedicated partner to customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their vehicles, extending its technical expertise and after-sales support beyond borders.
