VIMID is honored at the Global Partners Conference of Shandong Heavy Industry Group in Jakarta, Indonesia

On January 22–23, Vietnam Machine Investment Development Joint Stock Company (VIMID) proudly participated in the 3rd Global Partners Conference and Southeast Asia New Product Exhibition held at the Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia. The event was hosted by Shandong Heavy Industry Group (China) — the parent company of SINOTRUK and a strategic partner of VIMID for over 13 years.

This large-scale conference gathered more than 1,000 dealers, major clients, financial partners, and media representatives from over 20 countries and regions across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand to discuss partnership opportunities, strengthen cooperation, and outline future development strategies.

At the event, VIMID was honored with the “Strategic Partner of Shandong Heavy Industry” award, recognizing its long-term commitment and outstanding performance in the partnership. Additionally, during the SINOTRUK Global Partner Conference, VIMID was also named “Dealer of the Year”, a prestigious title that reinforces the company’s strong position and credibility among regional industry leaders. These awards mark an important milestone for VIMID, affirming its international stature and trusted reputation as a key player in the transport equipment sector.

In addition to participating in the event series as a partner and guest, VIMID proudly represented Vietnam in sharing experiences on developing Shandong Heavy Industry Group’s products, particularly SINOTRUK, in the Vietnamese market.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Nguyễn Vũ Trụ, CEO of VIMID stated: “VIMID has been collaborating with SINOTRUK – a member of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, China – for 13 years. While not a very long period, it has been sufficient to establish VIMID’s and SINOTRUK’s position and market share in Vietnam’s medium- and heavy-duty truck sector.”

Demonstrating the success of this partnership, in just over a decade, VIMID has helped SINOTRUK trucks achieve a 65% market share in Vietnam’s medium and heavy-duty truck segments. Currently, VIMID serves as SINOTRUK’s strategic partner, providing a wide range of products and services, as well as representing SINOTRUK’s after-sales support to customers nationwide, including transport and logistics companies.

Regarding future development, Mr. Nguyễn Vũ Trụ revealed that VIMID will continue to work closely with SINOTRUK to deploy newly introduced energy-efficient and advanced truck models showcased at the exhibition.
