Howo V7-X 380HP 8×4 Dump Truck – U-Shape Dump Box

The V7X dump truck series is part of the HOWO product lineup and represents SINOTRUK’s latest upgraded generation of dump trucks. This new generation was developed through the collaboration of three of the world’s leading truck manufacturers, combining the best strengths of each: the highest safety standards from Volvo, the most powerful drivetrain and strongest chassis from MAN, and the most advanced technology equipment from China.

The series is designed to best serve construction projects, land leveling operations, building material transportation, mining activities, and other heavy-duty applications.

The Howo V7-X 380HP 8×4 Dump Truck – U-Shape Dump Box is one of the key models in this lineup.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

The vehicle features a redesigned front grille with a more harmonious appearance, creating a stronger and more modern look compared to previous HOWO dump truck models in the Vietnamese market. The V7-X cabin is the latest upgraded version, inheriting many design elements and safety technologies from Volvo cabin technology. The cabin is precisely manufactured, robust, and highly durable, with an expanded field of vision for greater driver safety during operation.

Exterior highlights include:

• Strong iron front bumper designed specifically for construction applications. The bumper height has been raised by more than 10 cm compared to previous dump truck generations, making it more suitable for construction vehicles and reducing concerns about bumper contact. The towing hook is directly mounted to the chassis frame, eliminating the risk of bumper damage during towing.
• To further improve operational safety, SINOTRUK has upgraded the vehicle with a four-way camera system featuring ultra-wide viewing angles. This is the first HOWO model in Vietnam to be equipped with a four-way camera system. The cameras are integrated into a large LCD (10.3-inch or 14-inch).
• Enlarged rearview mirrors with 4-way electric adjustment and mirror heating function.
• Electrical cabin lift system with an engine start control unit located below the cabin.
• LED daytime running lights; halogen turn signals, fog lights, and marker lights; Bi-Xenon headlamps

INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior features a new design inspired by the Volvo FMX, with redesigned window control placement integrated into the overall dashboard layout. The cabin is equipped with power windows, electric mirrors, mirror heating, and 4-way mirror adjustment for both driver and passenger sides.

Interior highlights include:

• Smart key system replacing traditional mechanical keys. By standing outside and pressing the button, the windows can automatically go up or down, helping reduce heat buildup before entering the vehicle on hot days.

• A highly aesthetic four-spoke steering wheel with multifunction controls for the display, hands-free calling, and cruise control.

• LCD with smartphone connectivity through CarbitLink and Bluetooth, displaying the four-way camera system, multitasking functions, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

• Beautifully designed automatic air conditioning system with convenient rotary controls instead of traditional buttons.

• Completely redesigned interior, dashboard, and trim, creating a spacious and refined cabin environment. The cabin also features an attractive overhead lighting system for nighttime use.

• Additional soundproofing seals and water barriers improve cabin insulation, while an engine dust shield is also installed.

HOWO SINOTRUK GEARBOX

• Transmission model: HW19712L
• Transmission type: 12 forward gears – 2 reverse gears
• Torque capacity up to 1900 N.m / rpm for smoother shifting
• Equipped with a range-split gear selector for easier and more convenient operation
• Highly stable transmission with widely available spare parts, aluminum housing, and excellent heat dissipation

AXLES

• Front axle: VGD75 with load capacity of 7.5 tons
• Rear axle: MAN Technology MCX16ZG with load capacity of 16 tons

Previous U-shape dump trucks used welded steel ST16 axle housings, while the MCX16ZG uses a one-piece cast axle housing for superior strength and stability. Its 4.8 gear ratio, combined with the engine and transmission, creates an ideal drivetrain package capable of reaching approximately 75 km/h at 1500 rpm.

SUSPENSION SYSTEM

• Front axle uses 11-leaf spring packs with hydraulic shock absorbers and stabilizer bar
• Rear axle uses 12-leaf springs with double spring hangers and lower hanger bolts for easier maintenance

DUMP BOX

• Dimensions: 6400 × 2300 × 1030 mm
• Volume: 13.1 m³
• Thickness: Side 3 mm – Bottom 4 mm
• Material: High-strength NM450 high-strength steel, offering impact resistance and wear resistance four times greater than conventional Q355B material
• Four main longitudinal beams and seven wide transverse beams, all made from NM450 high-strength steel

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 

• Hydraulic Piston Cylinder: YUNLI 169-4 hydraulic cylinder, maximum outer diameter is 169 mm, 4-stage cylinder
• Chrome-plated piston for corrosion resistance and extended service life
• Maximum lifting stroke: 5000 mm
• Hydraulic oil, oil distribution valve, oil pump, and dump cylinder are built to Chinese domestic standards

Other Specifications

The Howo V7-X 380HP 8×4 Dump Truck – U-Shape Dump Box is also equipped with a wet air filter for intake air before it enters the engine. This wet filter offers several benefits:
