VIMID attends Sinotruk Global Customer Conference 2023

Recently, Vietnam Machine Investment Development Joint Stock Company (VIMID) was honored to be invited by Sinotruk Group to attend the 2023 Global Customer Conference held at the Shandong Conference Center, Jinan, China.

The conference took place over two days, from August 28 to 29, 2023, and was attended by Mr. Tan Xu Guang, Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Chairman of Sinotruk Group, Mr. Liu Wei, Chairman of Sinotruk International, along with leaders of the group and representatives from over 300 Sinotruk global partners.

At the conference, VIMID was one of only 12 companies worldwide to receive the Strategic Partner Award from Sinotruk, in recognition of its 13 years of successful collaborative development in the Vietnamese market. This award not only honors VIMID’s remarkable and sustainable growth but also serves as a testament to the company’s leading brand reputation in Vietnam’s truck industry, reinforcing its competitive advantage as it continues to integrate into the regional and global economy.

At the 2023 Sinotruk Global Customer Conference, the group showcased and officially introduced a range of new-generation products, including Huang He, TH7, T7S, HOWO 120 tons, SITRAK C9H, SITRAK G7S, new energy EV trucks, light trucks, and Sinotruk pickup trucks, along with next-generation engine assemblies, axles, and transmissions. The leadership of the Group also presented advanced powertrain technologies, intelligent driving systems, and the latest scientific and technical achievements of Sinotruk.

In his speech at the conference, Chairman Tan Xu Guang highlighted Sinotruk’s achievements over the past five years of innovation, establishing the Group as number one in China’s truck industry.

Mr. Liu Wei –, Chairman of Sinotruk International, presented the global business performance of Sinotruk, introduced the Group’s production plans, strategies for new energy product lines, and highlighted the Group’s competitive advantages in the next stage of development.

Representing Sinotruk’s global partners, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền, Chairwoman of VIMID, delivered a speech at the conference sharing insights on import operations, distribution strategies, and commercial development of Sinotruk products in the Vietnamese market.

As part of the conference program, on the morning of August 29, participants toured the Future Technology Pavilion, observed truck visual performance and visited the Laiyu manufacturing plant. This was a valuable opportunity for Sinotruk’s global partners to directly observe and gain a detailed understanding of truck production operations at the plant.
